WELCOME TO THE SARASOTA R.C. SQUADRON (SRQ)
For those who are new to the Radio Controlled Aircraft Hobby and are considering joining the Sarasota RC Squadron, please talk to an officer of the club before purchasing an airplane. We want to help you avoid common mistakes and have the best possible experience of learning to fly.

INITIATION FEE
There is a one-time Initiation Fee, nonrefundable, of $100 due at the time of entry into SRQ (Adult and Family memberships).
Membership ends each year on December 31st regardless of the date an applicant joins SRQ. Membership for applicants joining after September 30th will be valid for the remainder of that year and all of the following year.
AMA MEMBERSHIP
To join SRQ you must be a Full Member of the ACADEMY OF MODEL AERONAUTICS. A PARK PILOT PROGRAM membership is not sufficient to join SRQ. Click "HERE" if you have not joined the AMA yet.
RENEWALS
Please update your information on the website if needed. Additional applications are not needed for returning members. Keeping you email current is necessary to remain on the mailing list for club notices. Click here to renew.
NEW MEMBERS
An application can be filled ONLINE at our website. The Application will be automatically emailed to the sitting treasurer to hold until your Membership payment is received. Click "Join / renew Your Membership" on the left side of the screen.
A Membership Application can be printed and mailed. Click HERE. Fill out, Sign, and mail with your check to:

NOTE TO FAMILY MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS:
If you are mailing an application, Submit a separate application for each family member. There is no initiation fee for additional members within a Family Membership. When your application is received by the Treasurer it will be processed in accordance with this PROCEDURE.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
ADULT MEMBERSHIP: Flying and voting rights.
JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP: Flying and voting rights. No initiation fee. Under age of 18 (on date of renewal).
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP: Flying for each family member living in the same household with an AMA membership. Voting rights for each member with an AMA membership.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP: Neither flying nor voting rights. No AMA membership is required.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP: Flying and voting rights & no initiation fee or membership dues. Such members will be elected by a majority of members present at a monthly membership meeting. Requires AMA Membership.
