We are sadden to inform you that Jim Hess Sr. passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Jim was one of the founding members of SRQ.
On Sunday, April 3rd, there will be an open house at Jim Sr’s home, 3716 Winderwood Drive in Sarasota from 2PM until 6:30 PM. At 6:30 there will be a caravan from Jim’s home to the SRQ field for a memorial service at 7:00PM.
Jim’s daughter, Lynn and son Jim Jr. have invited all SRQ members to attend the open house and/or the memorial service.

The service was conducted by Larry Campa, Elder at Bethel Community Church.
Paul Jantzen represented SRQ with condolences to the family as well as his personal remembrance of Jim.
I estimate that just under one hundred family, friends and SRQ members were in attendance.
