Meeting Minutes

October 17, 2007

Meeting called to order @ 7:11 by SQ Commander Hall. We were led in the pledge to the flag. The minutes were read of the Sept meeting by OPS officer Chuck Duke. Motion to approve by Roger Niolet 2^nd by Mike Winter .Vote and passed. The treasurer report was given by Executive officer Buchholz. We now have a balance of $XXXX  in the treasury. Motion to accept by Mike Winter 2^nd by Bernie Salomon. Voted and passed. 

Old business Swap Meet: Bernie will run the concession, but will not be there for the closing. Either Ed B. or Chuck D. will collect the money from the concession.

Chuck reported that 300 fliers have been mailed out; e mails were sent to hobby shops and other R/C clubs in a 100 mile radius. Joe Wright will be away, so we need another volunteer to help at the gate.

Mike reported on Air Fair 2008 he will apply for the sanction.

Dave Barry will be the raffle chairman for air fare 2008. The SQ talked about the possibility of and electric raffle plane and radio.

We do not have a count on how many people are coming to the Xmas party. We will have to check with Tom Smith, as he has already collected some of the money.

Tom Smith came in late and reported that 26 people will be attending so far.

New business: None

So the SQ took a break for about 15 minutes. We will resume with show and tell. 

Show and tell commenced at 7:55  Ed reported on the running of the test engine  for the P39. The shaft developed a vibration and destroyed the clutch coupling. The brass bushing will be replaced by a bearing in the nose of the P39. And electric turbine fan will be installed in the plane for on ground cooling. Chuck talked about his new storage rack for r/c planes.

The raffle was split and won by John Hall and Dave Barry.
