Motion to accept by Mike Winter, 2nd by Jim Lasik, motion passed.

Roll call was taken by John and there were eleven members present.

Old Business: The swap meet is scheduled for Nov. 1st and John will obtain a mailing list from Mike Winter for distribution of the event flyer. Jon Hall will chair the event and is looking for help. Mike obtained approval from SRQ to hold Air Fair in April the week prior to Top Gun.

New Business: Ed Buchholz announced that dues for the squadron are due this month.

Dues for the year are $20.

Show and Tell: Jim Lasik brought his electric stik on floats and gave a presentation about the project. It is an E-Flite product and with a 40 size electric motor which provided plenty of thrust for the 3- ½ lb plane. The cost complete with floats is about $325 plus your radio equipment.

Ed Buchholz gave a talk about the problems involved in his mid-engine P39. He and John Hall have made further changes to the drive shaft and coupling units and the new arrangement was test flown with better results, although he thinks more power is required to get more realistic warbird performance. He also added an onboard fan unit for additional cooling and changed the prop for better performance.

There was a discussion by several members about gas with ethanol. It seems to be harmful to seals and such. Bill Kimbrell said that he uses Coleman lantern fuel in his gas engines with good performance. Vince suggested trying avgas which does not contain ethanol.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:20pm

50/50 drawing was won buy Ed Buchholz.

Respectfully submitted,
