Meeting Minutes
June 16th, 2010
Meeting was called to order at 7:20pm by Commander John Hall. There were 9 members in attendance. He then led the group in the pledge to the flag.
Minutes of the May meeting was read by Vince Veltri. After a discussion, a motion was made to accept the minutes as read. Motion by Roger Niolet, second by Lew Vaughan, motion passed.
Executive Officer Ed Buchholz gave the treasury report. There was a beginning balance of $XXX.XX. Income of $XXX.XX from the swap meet and expenses of $XXX.XX for a net of $XXX.XX Air Fair 2010 produced an income of $XXX.XX
Total to date in the treasury is $XXX.XX. There was a motion to accept the treasury report by Paul Jantzen, second by Mike Winter, motion passed.
Old Business: Paul Jantzen gave a report on the swap meet. He thanked those members who showed up early to set up tables. Although the event was not a big money maker, it was generally agreed that it was a good turnout for the initial event and plans are in the works for a second swap meet to be scheduled November 6th, 2010.
There were several suggestions made to keep vendors on site at least until noon. Perhaps a raffle item at noon or possible a vendor penalty for leaving prior to noon. Vince suggested that we ask Ron Nash to do some marketing for the next swap meet.
New Business: There was some question about having our annual Xmas party at Serenoa Country Club given the latest news about their present financial woes. We will ask Tom Smith to look into the matter and possibly look for another place, perhaps Bent Tree Country Club.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:05pm.
Fifty Fifty was won by John Hall.
Respectfully submitted,
Vince Veltri
Operations Officer
