AWARDS PICNIC 2009

SUNDAY APRIL 26TH

TOM SMITH WINS BOTH THE MEMBER OF THE YEAR AND THE PRESIDENT'S CHOICE AWARD.

Past award events have been held at various restaurants around town with ever decreasing participation. This year the board decided to couple a fun fly at the field with an awards picnic with the club providing the meat and the attendees bring assorted edible "stuff". Judging by the turn out and the comments I would guess that next year's event will continue this same format.

John Hall and Brad Fuller CD'ed the Fun Fly that preceded the picnic, the fun fly participants, Dave Barry flies and Jim Behanna times and the winner of the fun fly was Roger Niolet.

Lori LaCroix, Brad Fuller's friend, coordinated all covered dishes that were brought by the members. Great job Lori!

The food was set up on tables in the Operation Building. President Hay grilled the chicken on the club grill.

After the food was eaten and the tables were cleaned the serious part of the Awards Picnic began.
